Sign Up Now Open for Honolulu Intensive!

October 24+25, 2019

10am - 4pm

Honolulu Museum of Art School, 1111 Victoria Street

All our lives we are told as artists to ‘draw the light’, then given white paper and a dark instrument to draw everything but the light!

In this inspiring workshop students will learn to form the figure by pulling the light from the dark in both charcoal and pastel pencil on toned paper. We’ll be working from a live model and learning about a variety of light sources influencing how shadows bring the human form to life.

This intensive workshop is great for students with some knowledge of drawing the figure, but all skill levels are welcome. All the materials needed to create beautiful and delicate works in my signature toned paper style are provided.

Each student is sure to come away with at least 1-3 dynamic and frameable pieces.
