Parrot Skull
This feisty bird is actually a Parrot Skull. To add to his tropical vibe I included real bright red crab claws collected on a tiny island we kayaked to in Kaneohe Bay in Hawai'i. There were dozens of claws all over the rocks already picked clean and drying in the sunshine - what a find!
I also added in two tiny lil baby lizards that sadly didn't make it to adulthood, but can at least be appreciated forever in death. I splashed in a few ferns and some gold leaf as usual, and voila! A parrot skull with a real sense of presence!
